One of the best times to visit Budapest is in spring and fall (May, June, September, and early October) this is when travellers enjoy fewer tourist crowds and milder weather. However, their peak season is typically over summer and through to September when many festivals take place. In December you can expect busier crowds when Budapest's atmospheric Christmas markets are in full swing.
