Ryanair out to Marseille and Jet2 back from Naples.
Did you get any connecting transport from the airport?
Got private transfers on arrival/taxi on departure.
How was the journey?
Very good in both directions.

Where did you stay?
Golden Tulip Marseille Euromed for one night then Silversea’s Silver Ray for 4 nights.
Were there any special features?
The ship was amazing, bright and airy, lots of space, lovely pool deck and spa areas.
What was your stay like? Did you enjoy it?
It would have been nice to have been able to have a look around Marseille but arrived at midnight and left for the ship the next morning at 11 am. Loved the ship, very comfortable.
Any recommendations?
We dined in The Grill on our first night onboard and each had a hot rock to cook our steak/seafood ourselves (if we wanted to). Great experience and lovely food.
Activities
Where did you go?
We visited St Tropez and Naples – both very different but enjoyed each city. St Tropez was very upmarket, beautiful boutiques and cafes/restaurants and very peaceful. Naples was the opposite, very, very busy, lots of people, lots of cars/bikes (mad drivers) and not at all peaceful but still loved wandering around the city (much better than I thought it would be).
Did you learn any fun facts or see anything exciting?
Pizza being delivered by basket from above in Naples (I have a video).
What was the weather like?
Fabulous.
Food/Drinks
What did you enjoy eating/drinking?
Champagne on the ship and loved The Grill restaurant. All the restaurants we ate in onboard were excellent though.
Did you try any new dishes? What did you think of it?
Didn’t try any completely new dishes – had fish a couple of times but not sure whether it was fish that I’ve tried before or not.
Did you go to any quirky places for food/drinks?
I guess The Grill was quirky as cooked on the Hot Rocks.
Any recommendations?
Try all the restaurants onboard the ship as they all offer something slightly different and are all excellent.
Conclusion
Would you recommend this holiday and who to?
Absolutely recommend this ship/these ports of call but not for families. I think there were only 2 children onboard and really nothing for kids to do on the ship apart from the pool. Great for honeymooners/couples.
